Oaks of Hebron is excited to announce the start of a new program: Recycling Together. In July, Oaks received a grant from the State of California to start a mobile recycling program. With a crew of three participants, Oaks will travel to sites throughout the county to pick up CRV beverage containers. The program will branch out and will include other recyclables, eWaste and document shredding. Oaks provides the containers and places them at host sites and then returns on a scheduled basis to collect the recycling. Recycling material is redeemed and the value is used to pay participants minimum wage for their work. We are currently collecting recyclables at Mt. Gilead, House of Rock, and Lucky Supermarket in Sebastopol. We are looking for more host sites, so if you have a business or know of a business that needs a recy­cling program, please let us know and we will get you started.
